You asked about the power curves etc. and if anyone (other than us) have tested them? Yes, there are graphs and I think some Germans have also done their own tests, including SIP. We have seen that the engines put out 44-47bhp depending on whose dyno you use and the conditions. A 'safe' figure is 45bhp. SIP got 45,5bhp on all 3 runs they made on their (TUV registered) dyno when they tested the green Lambretta SSR250 that was ridden by 25 people @ Meltdown. You also asked if we run the engines or not? The answer is we run most but not all. If the engine is going to a dealer, then we probably will not run it (unless they specifically ask us to). We normally run and test all engines going to private customers. Some we run in on the open road, and others on the dyno. You asked about quality. We have a massive emphasis on quality and that is our number one priority. We accept no parts unless they are the absolute best we can source or manufacture. Example : the chain is an Iwis race chain. The gearbox is a Cyclone 5 Pro (compare this to the Indian gearbox and cheap industrial-grade chain used in a certain twin cylinder engine) and the people who machine our casings also work for Honda and MV. The cranks are made by Primatist who are probably the European leaders in their field. What I'm trying to say is that we are using the absolute best people and parts that there on the market, with no exceptions. For the question about assembly, others should judge that, not us. You asked if the engines are only for racing, or touring? These are road engines that can be used on the track if you wish. They are more powerful and faster than any race Lambretta, anywhere. But they can be used for touring, and that is why we rode to Kalkar in conditions where it reached -10°c. Simply to prove this point. The casings and components are DESIGNED for the power they put out and they vibrate very little. We want people to enjoy using these engines. Ffor the question about the carb type / size, the customer can choose between a 34mm or a 39mm. Lastly, here is an open invitation to you and your friends (and everyone on th eGSF) : get a cheap flight over to Rimini and we’ll give you keys to both an SSR250 and a SSR265 Scuderia for you all to ride and use as you wish. Whatever test you want to do, no problem. We’ll even strip the engines right down in front of everyone, before and after your testing. We’ll show everyone how we think up a new item, design it, develop it , make pre-production prototypes and how we do the testing on all our products. No secrets, nothing hidden away. Everything open for you to inspect and look at.

... Amongst others, we deal with both Scooter Center and SIP in Germany. We are looking at having SSR Demonstarators at both the SIP and Scooter Center Open Days in May as well (this will be hard work considering they are on the same day), for customers to try for themselves.
