Hello from a snowy Sweden!

I will start to build a engine with the following parts:

- PX150 casing and gearbox

- Worb 5 reed crankshaft for vespa 200

- RD reedvalve

- Mikuni TM32

- HP4 Flywheel

- 23/64 Primary drive

- PM Exhaust

But I can´t make up my mind on the cylinder! Parmakit 187 or Quattrini M1X?

I want i to be fast on the road and as reliable it can get.

In case of a long primary gear I would tend to the parma. Though this one is really long...maybe too long to have fun.

Change the primary and get the M1X. And think about another exhaust if you want to go really fast.

Why M1X? Because of bad original piston of parmakit?

Warum ist der Parmakolben auf einmal schlecht? So lange er keine seitlichen Fenster hat, ist alles gut.

In my opinion, the porting is better, especially with the M1X you have more possibilities to work on the exhaustport in compare to the Parma which has the little side exhaustports.

Would a 22/64 primary suit the M1X better?

if you really want to use the pm, the parmakit is the better choice, i think.

I'm not sure about mixing 22/64.

You should think about to buy a good clutch too. There are very good ones on the market. S&S or MMW.

So if you change your primary to 23/65 or 22/65 you´re going to be happy with the engine.

For me too, the M1X is the better Cylinder. It has some nice features,for example the Exhaust Plug from Schall&Rauch with the Viton Ring...

It also has more potential and if you are not going to crazy with milling, it is a very reliable Cylinder with no disadvantage.

I am not going to start milling in the first place, maybe later.
