  2. Spanish Motovespa and Vespa P80 have it... I have one
  3. Thanks... www.freakmoped.at doesn't work right now... The engine is PX125 cases, with 22/68 primary, 8" wheels (!), Leo pipe, racing crankshaft, Polini manifold + 1mm spacer and PHBH28... It was a *blast* with the Polini 177, unfortunatly, I seized 2 times because of the carb-manifold rubber that has an hole And then I discovered the skirt was broken !! :heul: By the way, an opinion on the Malossi 166 ?
  4. The skirt of my Polini 177 suprisingly broke !! 1. The question is, can I put a DR on my cases that I have enlarged to fit the Polini ? 2. Can I work the DR so that it has the same base as the Polini ? 3. DR + Polini head is better than original DR cylinder head ? Last one, 4. Can someone give me a link on the topic discussing the DR tuning ? KTy :grr:
  5. No... It's the same except that the condenser should be bigger... It is the technology of the condenser... MKT are much smaller than MKS... For the Spark Magnifier, any type is fine...
  6. It is almost sure that it is related to the connectors or wires, it happens to me too... Check this out: http://www.germanscooterforum.de/index.php...t&p=1288154 You can also try to slightly increase the spark plug electrode gap... I will certainly when I have more time... !
  7. What's up with the unique Italian Spark Magnifier user ?
  8. Here is a simple 5 steps procedure to build your *very* own Spark Magnifier What you need: * 1 condenser NO POLARITY , 1µF / 250VAC (or ~250V) MKT type (small !!) or MKS or... * 1 diode 1N4007 or 1N4006 or 1N4005 (1N4004 should work !) * 1mm cross-section electrical wire * some electrical connectors * An iron solder * A Glue Gun Follow the tour... 1. One wire and the diode are soldered, be sure to double-check the polarity of the diode ! 2. Two wires for the ground 3. Last wire 4. Pay attention to the male/femelle connector choices, especially for the green wires... 5. Insulate everything... Use GlueGun :) If you have respected the wire's color and the connector's polarity just Plug'n Ride ! Example of integration: KTy -
  9. it seems you had short-cut the two diodes !

  11. I saw people running BxES (long reach) while I always used BxHS, but I noticed that the spark plug hole was "long"... What type Malossi recommend ? Thanks KTy - :puke:
  12. I would have enlarged even more the admission... But you're going the safe way

Interesting Your 3497 ( Beta value) is not far from the 3548 found here: http://www.ecircuitcenter.com/Circuits/the...herm_model1.htm

Isn't 110°C *way* too few for a AC cylinder head temperature sensor ?? I found this: http://www.speedmike.de/phpkit/include.php...656d0bab59ea5cf
  17. So, back on this one, I am now running 160 BE3 110 and 48/160. The mixture screw is about 0.75 turns, BUT it is an old SI20/20D with the "small" screw, not the one found on the more recent PX. The tip of the mixture screw is shorter and also less conic, I hope it explains the 0.75 turns. Altougth, from 0 to 100% throttle, slowly or fast, the engine is very smooth and "feels" good, there is a little rattling if the throttle is *constantly* opened to 15-20%. Going back to BE5 is worse, so I may want to check the timing... Does anyone know what is the recommended timing for the old icast-iron Pinasco 177 ? Spec is: GT engine with 3rd transfers, SI20/20D, original PX exhaust, points ignition and cast-iron Pinasco 177.
  18. Here is the message: Could it be related to my using of the english language ? best ! KTy

That's exactly what I wanted to hear ;) You've got one ? Which one ?
  20. Alloha, I read on http://www.setup-largeframe.de.vu/ that some people are running 14° (!!!) of ignition timing ... A friend of mine told me that 20-21° for a sprint with DR 177, SI 20/20 and points ignition is very good... What do you recommend ? KTy - P.S: Sorry for crossposting on largeframe forum... :wasntme:

KTy - Moderator can delete this post as I have posted on the right forum here: http://www.germanscooterforum.de/index.php?showtopic=93258
  22. I can tell you that the one with no hole is for a SI 20/17 and the other one is typical from a SI 20/20D. I was given the "50" for a SI 20/20D, but I think it is a mistake. And running with is *way* too rich at Low RPM !! That's why I was asking...
