Hello

What adaptations do you have to make to a PX or LX/ ET2-4 front fork to make it fit in a Special50/ primavera frame ??

Wich is the best for a racer/sprinter ?

Greetz and thanks

Why don´t you simply use a PK fork (German spec., as I think PKs in Belgium were equipped with V50/PV style forks). Fits into the frame easily with no need for shortening and can be used with Grimeca disc-brake kits.

Here´s a picture of the scooter owned by forum member Lenki:

There are shocks designed for the PK-range. PX would be too large, PV is completely

different.

Popular and available ones are Bitubo, Carbone/CIF and Malossi RS24/Paioli.

You can get those forks on ebay or the GSF market for 40-70 EUR in good

used condition. Grimeca Disc Brake Kit is around 300 EUR at any scootershop

and will fit plug and play.

cheers

The PK fork is great. Only remember that the lenght of the break ist 35 mm longer than the V50/PV fork. In the GSF is someone who shortens forks and suspensions for a good price. otherwise u have got kind of a chopper apperience. Only forks of PK before 1990 fit. (PK XL 1!!!!) Not the forks of PK XL 2 because of the screw thread.

It will fit straight into your V50/PV frame.

The only thing that can be modified optionally is the cutout in the column where the steering lock is located because with the standard PK cutout you can´t lock the steering as usual. If you intend to use the scooter on racetracks only, you probably don´t need a steering lock.

The other point is that the PK fork is about 3,5 cms longer on the lower part (not the part that fits in the frame) than the standard V50/PV item which makes the scooter´s front end come up this amount. This can be easily solved by using a longer distance piece on the rear shock´s upper mount for aesthetic reasons. Or you can have the fork and damper shortened by forum member custom0815, click.

In case you want to use a standard V50/PV mudguard on a PK fork, you will have to remove some material in the area of the front shock´s upper mount - otherwise the mudguard won´t fit over the fork.

I'll think I'm going to use a blok on the rear. That way ill get more bottom clearance and more stability in highspeed turns.

3,5cm is that possible to high up on the rear?
