Thanks for that. I changed gear oil in the weekend and noticed that half of it has disappeard... I have driven it for ca. 700km so its not a big leak, but apparently the clutch side oil seal is damaged. This also would explain the jetting symptomes I am experiencing. I have the EGT sensor mounted 120mm from the piston skirt.The tip of the sensor is in the middle of the krummer. I know each engine is individual but what temperature have you guys been melting pistons at? I seized one piston earlier due to an loose sparkplug...and now I am very nervous when the temp goes to the mid 600´s. Cheers

Hello gentlemen, I´m having trouble jetting my Koso34 on a M1L motor. Currently I have 48/145 with the original needle 2nd clip from top. Bottom end is fine but splutters in midrange and if I lift the clip egt gets hot in the upper mid range. I have been trying to get through the big PWK thread but my german skills are not that good. Has anyone found a good setup for the Koso ? Or should I start looking for a genuine Keihin? I have the BGM needle set. Rest of the setup looks like this M1l09 54/105 127/188 Franz inlet 33.5mm vtronic 24/16 Cheers Nicklas

Thanks, The vespa is originally sold in sweden, in may 1965. I bought it of its second owner who got it from the first in 2007. All paperwork from new came with it. The paint is fixed a little on the headset and front fender, still looks ok though.
