Thanks for the pics Laser. I think I will open up the sides of the piston a little, nothing wild. Also raise the boost holes in the piston. This together with a little bit more xport timing and width should give me a machine that will easily cruise at 100km/h with a reasonable fuel consumtion.

Hi Hank, Thanks for your straight answer. With other holes in piston I take it you mean the ones on the boost port. I noticed that the piston touched the casing in bdc, so a little has to go. Inlet is pretty smooth, pics arent that good. The cold metal I used is Plastic Padding. I´ve used it before on my stroker M1L, and its been good for 5000km´s, so Im not worried about it. I roughened the surface with the dremel. I´ll look into tuning the x port thanks, -n

Hi guys, I´m building a polossi at the moment. As this is the first LF motor that I´m doing I´d appreciate any comments you have regarding the build. -The exhaust port is only 58% wide if I remember correct. Is this ok for a touring motor or would you it is necessary? -Also when I was looking at the piston I can see the gain in opening up the lower part of the cvf, but I dont really see the benefits in opening up the other small hole by the piston pin, am I right thinking like this or should the piston be opened up in the same mway as when used in a malle cylinder? -Are these port timings good a touring polossi or would I gain from more blowdown? This is what it looks like, I´m seekin a reliable touring machine Alu polini 171/124 Blowdown 23,5 Malle piston Bgm 60 DS 120/64=184 inlet Si24 ovalised SIP road Still waiting for the head, but its ordered with a 1.2mm squish Antwort in Deutch ist also super! Hi guys, Super Topic! I am thinking of buying a ´77 Rally. The seller was planning to paint the scooter but he just sanded the frame and then forgot bout the project..The rest of the parts seem to be in nice o-lack. Do you think that the paint on the frame still can be saved? And if I have to paint it, what would be a good way to get the new paint patinated? Hi, A friend got this P200? engine, with the prefix mentioned in the theme. Its got a ducati ignition. Cant find any info on it on the web so thought someone on here might have come across it before. It doesnt really matter what it is but its a bit interesting. Cheers- VSP Race
