  1. Hi all! I´m trying to get my SIP speedo to work properly, but it shows too high revs... (idling around 4000) I have a MVT ignition, and I´m wondering how many ignition pulses/signals it does pr rev? Anyone that can tell me? Rgrds Øyvind
  2. Hi Lars, Not sure of the fans. -need to be checked... But I haven't done the figueres, but the xenon light takes a fair bit as well. But normal runing I just use the water pump, the led lights in front, diode in the back, Stage6 EGT and SIP speedo. And that is obviously too much. I'm suspecting a bad battery, so I'll try a new one....
  3. Henkan, I'm seriously struggling to get enough power to run waterpump and fans. -after a while there isn't enough and the pump struggle to keep the flow... So for a start I've fitted led-lights to minimize the power consumption...
  4. Hi, I'm not sure if I'll go for the "retro" design... -I fancy the classic with white more actually... -clean and simple design. I'll keep you all updated on the progress. Regarding OT; yes, I hope to be able to attend CSR2015 on Dagali in August, but it depends on the holidays with my family... Are you attending T5Rainer?
  5. Hi again! I received a mail from mmb-messtechnik, and they will make me an temperature gauge as well! -so thanks for very good help!
  6. Hi all! -and thanks for the tips! They´re all good, but I think I like the tip from Gravedigger best... I´ve sent them a mail, and asked if they have an option for temperature gauge as well, as I need that too... We´ll see! Regards Øyvind
  7. Hi all! I've fitted a 220 Polossi engine in my 1965 Vespa SS180 and made it a real long distance cruiser. But I would like to have some more control of the engine, so would like to fit a rev counter and a temperature gauge in the top of my glove-box. -I don't fancy a SIP speedo, so that is not an option. I would like to keep the old, analogue look... Any tips on what to buy where? Thanks! Øyvind
  8. Thanks amazombi! The only thing is that the engine is recently rebuilt/refurbished, and I was hoping not to have to split the casings or do any major work on it... Is there somehow I can check if it fit without splitting the casings?
  9. Hi all! Sorry for writing in English, but my "deutch sind sehr slecht..." :) Anyway, I have bought a old smallframe engine, apperantly built by someone on this forum -and I´m mainly a largeframe man, so I need some advise... The setup is; V50 casings welded to suit the cylinder Mk1 Malossi with direct intake Malossi intake and reed PHBL25 carburettor Zirri Silent exhaust 12V ignition. I have a complete PKXL2 clutch on the shelf, and thought I might fit that to the engine. -will that be plug´n play, or do I need to modify anything? Thanks for help! Best Regards Øyvind
  10. I just got it confirmed by various SS180-sites on Facebook that a PX main stand fits the SS180, so then it should be straight forward!
  11. Yes, it is mostly about the layout. I'll probably rather put it on my sidecar-PX. -with a 57mm alu-Polini... [emoji6]
  12. I'm currently using a SIP Road, and it is ok. -but the BigBox is supposed to give some more ooohmp. I could probably use the Silentbox and achieve the same output, but the design of the Silentbox is too bad...
  13. Hi Deichgraf and Happy New Year to you too! I'm aware of the S&S sollution, but does a main stand for PX fit a SS180 frame? If so, a swap would solve the case. I already have a Pipedesign exhaust, but a Silentbox220, as Marco recomended that for a Polossi engine. But I'm very dissapointed with the exhaust... -the layout on it makes it hard to turn Right without grounding it, and the sound is allmost like Shito+... And it has the same conflict with the main stand. My impression of the BigBox is alot better. But I need to sort the main stand, so I can continue to tow my PAV...
  14. Hi All! I have a 1965 SS180 with a Polossi 220 engine for touring... And for next season I want to upgrade from SIP Road to BGM BigBox... But I can't fit the BigBox, as it conflicts with the mainstand on the SS180 (spring and attachment on spring on the stand...) Any suggestions for how I can have my BigBox fitted on my SS180? (PS, Sidestand is not an option, as I very often have my PAV41 trailer along with it...) Thanks! Ø
  15. Hi, and thanks for the tip! But I might be stupid, cause I can´t find any suitable for the SS180... Looking for something with max dimensions of 165X83X93 Any suggestion where I find it in the link or other places?
  16. Hi all! Any suggestion for what battery to use on my 1965 Vespa SS180 now as it is converted to 12V? I can´t find any batteries at SIP nor at SCK... Any suggestions? Thanks!
  17. Har lagt ut noen følerer i UK og, men tenkte det var noen tyskere som kanskje også kjørte ekstra lys.... Men håper fortsatt noen har en god patent...
  18. Hi all! I got two original Lucas 576 lamps to fit on my 1965 Vespa SS180. But I got some repro rubber mounts that doesnt fit at all. The angle on the rubber is way to steep, so I'll be lighting up the woods and not the road... Anyone knowing how or where to get rubber mounts that fit the legshield of a Vespa SS180? Thanks! Øyvind
  19. Hi All! Sorry for writing in English, but my German su.ks Anyway, I need papers (briefkopie/TUV) for a SS180 with a PX200 engine. It would be a bonus with papers with longstroke Polini as well! Hope you can help me! Regards Øyvind
  20. Hi! Can anyone help me with TUV-papers or similar for my Vespa T4 (VGLA1T)? I need papers for; PX200 engine (with tuning if possible) Bitubos Grimeca Widetyre Thanks! Ø
  21. Hi, First of all, sorry for writing in English, but my german sucks... Anyway, I have a long-range tank (11,5L) in my vespa and therefore using a mikuni (20l/h) to feed my Keihin 35 on my S&S reed and crank. But somehow there are air in the system and I can only get fuel as long as it is leveled above the carb (just as standard tank) Can someone please help me and tell me how I'll get the pump working properly and get the extra 5 liters out of my tank with the pump? Thanks! Ø
  22. Hi, No, I haven't checked the reed-plates. yet. But I haven't been clear; the engine do rev up, but even on high revs, it splutters and doesn't go "clean". But as there was no trace of gas in the oil, I was wondering if there could be other reasons than the clutchseal, as I might try that before i split the engine again... PS! The engine has run only 60kms since last change of seal on the clutch-side... Rgrds, Øyvind
  23. Hi guys! Thanks for advice! -I'll test with the brake cleaner. I'm using a Keihin PKW35 with RamAir filter. And Dellorto 55l/h fuel-pump due to big gas-tank... Rgrds, Ø
  24. Hi, No, I haven´t changed it. Would like some suggestions before I start splitting the engine. -again.... Rgrds, Ø
