  1. Errr, I'm sorry, I may not be clear in what I'm saying ( Let's put it this way: I just wanted to know if there is a big performance difference between a primavera exhaust (small) and an ET3 exhaust (banana) Anyway, thanks for the advice about Sito, Rasputin ;)
  2. My contribution, for TZR125 reed valve: http://ktylife.free.fr/vespa/KTy133/KTy133Remontage3.jpg and http://ktylife.free.fr/vespa/KTy133/KTy133Remontage2.jpg and http://ktylife.free.fr/vespa/KTy133/KTy133WithAluSpacer2.jpg Btw, i'm switching to a RD350 reed valve :)
  3. Ok, same question replacing sito with piaggio. My question was comparing the stock, "small" exhaust with the banana, from an ET3 for example. KTy -
  4. I am rebuilding a spanish primavera engine, with point ignition and 3 transfers cylinder. I am wondering if the sito banana exhaust is really "performance" :) worth compared to the stock primavera one. Furthermore, I find the small stock exhaust much nicer, and it's a pain to change the wheel with the banana... So, pros and cons ? Thanks for the tips ! Banana: http://www.sip-scootershop.com/upload/imag...0005875_003.jpg Stock: http://www.sip-scootershop.com/upload/imag...0000151_003.jpg
  5. Btw, Gerhard (and others), I was wondering, if this value (11 o'clock) related to the cylinder inclinaison or not ? Because a large frame engine, the cylinder is like horizontal, compared to a smallframe where it is like 45°... I'd liek to have some theory behind that... I don't remember reading something about this in Bell's book :)
  6. Yep, thank you
  7. I trust you for the Blaster, I had a doubt, but the reed cage looks different... Yeah, I think the RD350/Banshee reed cage dimension is a good trade-off for a case-inducted Polini 133 project compared to the KX80 (too small) and the others (CR125, TZR125,...).... :)
  8. That was fast So I guess overall dimensions are 70x65mm And good news everyone, as some may know, but as I discover , it's totally compatible with the Yamaha Banshee YFZ350 ! :wasntme: That's pretty coool ;) Thus, I have my new reed cage project :) (And................ vForce 3 ready ;) ) :sabber: :plemplem:
  9. Can someone point out out a link or measure approximatively for me the dimensions, width and length (overall and "hole to hole") of a RD350 reedcage ? Thank you ! KTy -
  10. And, did you have the PM40 + vForce curve with the dyno newly balanced ?
  11. @BBG: By the way, no cooling problem so far ? And what is the P4 you're talking about ? HP4 ? Dynotest ? KTy -
  12. Is there a reason why you use this kind of wheel/rim ? Once again, impressive achievement :sabber: !
  13. A bit OT: Is the reinforced clutch basked a must-have with big RPM / high power engine ? What is it made of ? and what is the diameter of the ring ? By the way, are the screw provided with the primary kit ? Are they "special" in a way ?
  14. Just to add my 2 cents; It is interesting to see that TZR 125 and TZR 250 reed valve block are the same ! Here is my TZR 125 reed valve on my smallframe cases... http://ktylife.free.fr/vespa/KTy133/KTy133Remontage2.jpg Cheers, KTy
  15. Is it this one that I own ? :) http://ktylife.free.fr/vespa/KTy133/zirriDimension.jpg KTy
  16. You think your manifold and reedvalve are not large enough ? Is that what you mean ? KTy
  17. So, is this project/idea born-dead already ? (
  18. @Ezekiel: Do you think it will need a little rebored (the plastic stuffer) to be used with a 32mm carb ?
  19. Sorry to insist, but what is the reference of the tassinari reedblock Worb5 is selling? (What bike was it originaly designed for) And, According to Ezekiel measures, what size of carburetor this vForce3 reeblock is designed for ? (Mostly according to the "stuffer" area) I'm not sure I do the right calculation...
  20. A friend of mine pointed out this picture (Thanks Luccio ;) ) Maybe the same engine ?
  21. So to summarize; Originaly, are these vForce for KX80 ? And what is the diameter of venturi (maximum carb size) ? ;)
  22. Sometimes I'm asking basic tuning stuff that I can't even answer myself... :D For example, why would you want to have a bigger (wider) reedblock size ? My only thought is that, for the same engine configuration (displacement and carburator), if you plug a wider reedblock, then the reed petals will bend less (for the same quantity of gazflow) compared to a smaller reedblock. Thus increasing maximum RPM because of higher resonance frequency... Is this correct ? So, for my new reedblock hybridation, should I go for a CR125 / TZR125 one, or should I consider smaller stuff like RD350 ones or even CR85 ones ? Discuss if you feel that's interesting ! Cheers, KTy
  23. And what is Sallih reeblock in her signature ?
  24. Thanks for the carb size... Still looking for the reedblock size of the CR85 then :) EDIT: Thanks Gerhard ;) A friend of mine told me CR85/KX80 could be fitted on some 50cc derbi gearboxed bikes... As for the Zirri short, yeah, it's sad... the problem is that not *that* much people want to spend 200euros for a short 4th... We'll see...
