I've fitted a Polini208 on my PX200GS With elestart...

 

I've removed some material on the sylinder, as the flywheel rubs on it...

 

But I haven't removed enough, as it still rubs a little.

-how much can I remove without going through the cylinder?

 

I Guess the Polini208 should work With elestart flywheel?

Do you really need the Electric Starter?
If Not you could remove the teeth ring.

-but highly preferred...

Was jus wondering if there is a risk of going through to the ports if I use the Dremel to remove a mm or two...?

Think about to Do it the other way around.

Remove the starter rim from the flywheel and machine the seat for the starter rim at the flywheel  on  a lathe 1 to 1.5 mm deeper.

That will solve your problem.

 

To get the starter rim off and on the flywheel is Not a big deal but take care, the latest flywheels have a locator pin.

Sounds like a good sollution, except that I don't have a lathe...

That's why I'm going for the Dremel sollution.

-just a bit afraid of taking too much and going through the metal...
