Vielen dank! Grusse Stein von Norwegen
  2. Hello to you all! For questions regarding payment, please email Stig at [email protected]. As far as I know, there is no automated feedback to the sender when the money is on the run bank account, so for those who are attending as non-members, an email to Stig can be helpful. For those arriving Oslo on the 19th with the Color Line Kiel boat, myself and some others will meet you at the harbour. I will probably drive to Gjøvik together with the first load of people quite soon after the arrival of the boat. In any case, we will guide you the right way through the city to the two different recommended routes. The RV4 road to Gjøvik is the one to recommend for drivers who cannot or do not want to go onn the highway parts of the way. This is a road with 60-80 km/h speed limit, not too many cars and nice scenery here and there. It is also possible to drive the highway with 80-100 km/h speed limit for about 60 kms, then a narrow and curvy road right beside Mjøsa, Norways biggest lake, directly to Gjøvik. If you choose this route, you will have the most beautiful scenery after the highway bit is done. For those who want to have a quick lookaround in Oslo before doing the last 130 kms to Gjøvik, you can join the Restless SC Oslo group. Folks from Restless SC Oslo will depart from the Oslo Scooter Central shop sometime between 13-15, I believe. I do not know right now how many people from the club will be in that group. I am looking forward to seeing you all in Gjøvik, and hope to be able to have a beer with many of you whom I only know the nicknames of from GSF Btw, I am the tall guy driving a black oldie with bicycle headset and dark red flames on. (Or maybe I choose to drive the red Rally 200 instead...) See you in 3 weeks!!! All the best from up north, Stein
  3. Push an diesen...
This one I have to do in english: What you write about will not be possible on this years run. All participants will wear a wristband. Non paying scooterists will be visible to everyone. And, for your info: The Vespa World Club and Piaggio sponsore the club that holds the run. They are not gready and get money from the poor scooterists attending, they actually give money to the arranging club to help it being possible to arrange such a big event. So, the Vespa World Club is not such a big bad wolf after all, you see It is true that the Gala Dinner eats up a big share of the entrance fee, but hey, that dinner thing has always been on these events, and we ar e not going to take away the probably last tradition on the EuroVespa/Vespa World Days. Instead: Look forward to a run as far north as you have probably never been on a scooter before, great nature and views, friendly priced beer and food on the run, good bands and dj´s, scooterists from all over and probably a lot of scooters that you have never seen at a run before! Cheer up, pay the fee if you want to come, or rather stay at home. This will be the only time ever a run like this will take place in Norway, so if you want to do it, do it, but don´t cheat on the others... And one more thing; info in english on the hotels and campings will be on the webpage as soon as the new webmaster have gotten his things together. And he work pretty fast, so not long now..! All the best from up north, Stein
  6. Yes, but I have a friend from Hamburg who got rid of some moeny once he was here a little bit too thirsty...
  7. I don´t think it will be a problem But, if you think you might still have alcohol in the system upon arriving to Oslo, it can be wise to push the scooter with the engine off onto land and check if there is any alco testing going on. They can´t say anything if you test red and have just pshed the scooter. But, to be honest, I have never been alco tested or frisked by the customs, and I have taken those ferries quite a few times... All the best, Stein
Alko promille grenze in Norwegen is 0,2. Hier info von www.toll.no Duty free quota Within the limit of NOK 6,000/3,000, you can bring the following goods with you duty free (see the limitations that apply to absences of less than 24 hours as mentioned above): One litre of an alcoholic beverage containing more than 22% and up to 60% alcohol by volume and one and a half litres containing more than 2.5% up to 22% alcohol by volume, or three litres of beverages containing more than 2.5% and up to 22% alcohol by volume Two litres of beer containing more than 2.5% alcohol by volume, or other beverage containing more than 2.5% and up to 4.7% alcohol by volume. This means, for example, that you can import five litres of beer if you do not have other alcoholic beverages with you 200 cigarettes or 250 grams of other tobacco products, and 200 sheets of cigarette papers You must be over 18 years old to import alcoholic beverages. To import alcoholic beverages containing more than 22% alcohol by volume, you must be over 20 years old. You must be over 18 years old to import tobacco products.
  9. Participants that are not in a VWC club pay 10 euros more, and then you are in! Info will follow on the webpage. A new webmaster is on his way, and the webpage will be updated more often from now on. All planning is on schedule, even if not all info is on the webpage yet. There registration formula will soon be out there. Give us a few more weeks, and the webpage will look much more professional and complete. Please note that scooter transport on truck will be able each way from Landsberg for those who do not want to drive all the way. More info on this will follow, but might be in a couple of months time. But, you can at least for now concider if you want to use this opportunity. Price for this service is not ready yet, but won´t be a rip off. If any of you dealers out there want to give a share to the prize drawings or the goodie bag that all participants get, please send me a PM. This is of course a perfect opportunity to promote your company. We can also offer sales stalls at the run or promo only on the webpage for a fair price. Contact me if this sounds interesting. Also, we still have some available spots at the turntables for the evening do´s. If any of you dj´s out there feel like you are up to the job for a couple of hours, please contact me with reference and/or info about your style etc. And, please concider to visit Norway and Oslo on the 17th of May. Experiencing the celebration of our national day in our capital is a memorable thing!! Greetings from up north, Stein
  10. Hallo! My hometown is Gjøvik, where VWD is, but I have not lived there for many years. Now I live 20mins south of Oslo, so anyone who is driving into Norway via the Svinesund (Sweden) border, will drive right past my house. Anyone should feel free to stop by for a cup of coffee and a chat if arriving a few days in advance of the run! From the 18th I will probably be in Gjøvik, though. I actually never got around to fit the Pinasco flywheel to any project, so it is still in my garage, tip top condition as when I bought it. So if anyone is up for a large cone original Pinasco flywheel, send me a pm! I am happy to see that so many GSF´ers are planning to come to Norway! Feel free to send me a pm or post any questions here, and I will do my best to help. All the best from freezing North, Stein
