  2. Alex, please step back and relax (saying that usually doesn't help, but I really mean it). 1. Again, it is unfortunate date conflict, it happened in the past and will probably happen again. But to be honest, we pre-booked the date back in April 2014 (!) and we actually discussed the overlap topic with you in November. You could not change, we could not change, and it did not go further. We thought it was understood. 2. GSF is supposingly open to any vintage scooter related events. I am not "promoting" the event, I am "announcing" it on the GSF; why would we not do it as we always do it ?! Also many europeans (UK, BE, CH, ES, IT, etc) are also reading and might be interested to "stop by". 3. You have already 4 French drivers registered. The usual other ones that "travel" that far, mainly people of my team/group cannot make it to any event this year: myself, Luccio, Keuk, etc. Quite some others that came once to RnR could not make it this year because they went to Zuera (heavy budget impact). And in general, we have less drivers since a couple of years. That's the trend. Bottom line, this is not a provocation. We should not degrade our cooperation or making things more complicated because of that, ... everybody looses. Cheers,
  3. We'll discuss and try to align with ESC for next year. Keep in mind: 1. This regulation started from VPI, and nobody visiting them ever complained about that. 2. We took that in Scootentole since last year in order to improve safety. There is NO point arguing, it can only help. Full stop. You can also argue that an helmet is not useful since you don't fall... 3. Not only we impose that for our driver, but we also do that for our insurance. The more we show we take care of safety, the easier it is to get insurance covering us. Same with state agency that give us a green light for organization. 4. Sponsors like also this kind of plate because of the large surface ! Guys, back to ground for a while: It is already very difficult to setup and to manage a SINGLE "championship" on its own (ESC, SET, VPI), it requires a lot of energy and willingness to get TWO series running and working together. Constructive criticism are always welcome, but endless discussion of this kind does not bring anything, especially the popular French vs German arguments. Don't forget these events relies on very few people. If you want to help to improve things, please stand up, you are more than welcome.
  4. Same date as RnR, could not avoid that this year... The MaVespa Racing Team and Scootentole present the 20th Challenge Scootentole, held from the 5th to the 6th of June 2015, and organized on the Lavaud track located in Marcillat en Combraille (03 - Auvergne) !! 5. Thanks, you get the point... Going to opposite leads to how the VPI ended....
  6. Thanks to you all ! It was a nice and long week-end, a bit harder to organize than usual, but still very successful with a very nice paddock-party as a bonus ! Very very impressive K1 and of course K2 races, limited but beautiful fair racing fights in K4, super-geil K5 races (strong battle at the front but also everywhere else !). K7 had this year far less drivers, but at least saw some fresh blood with the "Best Newbie", Fiona, 14 years old !Weather was excellent ! Thanks to the all the people who helped us (Danny, Alex, Stefano, Robi, Keuk, la_pierre, etc). We wouldn't be able to do it without all those extra-hands ! Timing team was changed at the last minute and they did a great job to adapt to our race format and way of working. Some hick-up during grid and pre-grid, but here I would like to remind drivers that it is also their duty to be on-time in the pre-grid (at least 5 mins before the next race) and to roughly know where you stand in the grid. On my side, I had some good fun in the K1 qualification driving a K5 ! Enough for the week-end, the afternoon was too busy to actually consider racing. Results will be online soon !

  14. War echt cool ! I cannot walk today, too much muscle pain !! Thanks again to Mario and the team behind, and of course to "Erwi's Non Performance Racing Team" who adopted me for Spring Race 2015 ! See you in Mirecourt !
  15. Alex, no, it can really helps. The physical misalignment leads to a pickup signal which is no longer so well "polarize". Normally, the pickup generate a single pulse when the flywheel "magnet overlap" is passing over. With the misalignment, this single pulse becomes "multiple pulses" (depending on the number of magnet inside the flywheel). Those "fake" pulse are weaker than the "official one". Hence, with the proper filter, you keep only the real pickup signal. It is also true that in some cases, the filter is not enough. But in 90% of our tests, it worked. Bottom line/marketing catch, you better give it a try In our study we have fixed the following "typically problematic" use-cases (misfire, rev-limitation) with PiFi ! 16. Due to a recent product recall from SIP Scootershop we are obliged by authorities (!!) to forbid the SIP shocks (front and rear) for PX/PK for our next 10 hours race in Magny Cours. Sorry for this late announcement .
  17. Yes we know... It was a difficult decision but we had no other date available... Sorry guys...
