Hi!

Have anyone tried the Acewell3100 for speedo on an oldie?

I've a Vespa Touring (VGLA) with a PX2-engine, and would like to benefit some of the extra, like rev-counter, light and so on...

Anyone tried it?

He he, sorry, but I've allready done that..

My problem is that mein deutch sind sehr slecht... -aka dont understand...

Just need to know if the Acewell3100 would fit in a stearing/light-unit with a clamshell-speedo, and if the rev-counter works with the P2-engine...

Sorry...

The Rev Counter works, I have done it with an PX already.

You just have to take a single wire to the spark cable and twist a few times arround it. As it is written in the Acewell manual, you can also take the rev signal from the light bulb, but that didn't work on my PX.

In the Px head there is a lot of space, but it's quiet narrow in the head of Oldies for the Acewell speedo

It's not the same, but perhaps you try to adapt an bicycle speedo from sigma into an old speedo housing.

My LED's are planned for the gas gauge, but you can also use LED for a rev counter. There are various construction manuals all over the internet.

It's a lot of work, but when you are into electronics, it's possible.

Thanks for help!

I've wrote to www.acewell.de and asked for the size of the computer.

Then I'll know if its possible to fit.

But as long as the rev-counter works, it sounds very tempting!

I'm allready using a Sigma computer for speedo, and its ok.

But I'd like a computer with light in, and rev-counter. And some more possibilities.
