  1. Na, shade. Nur elektronisher zündung !
  2. Did you also notice better start and higher idling RPM ? Strange that you loose some overrev capability A bit lean ?!
  3. Too bad I could not make it this year... Looks like you had great fun and good weather... Anyway
  4. No it is not so "hard" to get... Here are some conrad references that *should* work 1uF - 250VAC - 400VDC (MKT technology): Artikel-Nr.: 500965 - 62 1uF - 250VAC - 400VDC (MKS technology -> Bigger size than MKT): Artikel-Nr.: 450192 - 62 1uF - 400VAC - 630VDC (MKS technology, overkill, but will work): Artikel-Nr.: 459837 - 62
  5. Now that I look carrefully to both pictures, it looks like indeed your condenser is smaller than mine using the diode as a reference... 1uF / 250VAC is not *so* common. It can be quite big, depends on the brand / material used. Let us know the outcome
  6. Never say never Looks like the cap is fine, unless it is 0.1uF and not 1uF (there is a "dot" before the "1u"). Even in that case, it should work, I think (never tried). What is the marking on the diode ? Can you show the circuit once soldered ? I am a bit clueless here !
  7. So you followed instructions here: http://www.germanscooterforum.de/index.php...t&p=1288154 You paid attention to the connectors (picture 4) And you are sure that you don't mess with the green wire coming from the stator and the green wire coming from the Kill. The final circuit should be electrically equivalent to picture 2 in the first post: http://www.germanscooterforum.de/index.php...t&p=1072154 Can you give me a link to the condenser ? Is it from Conrad ?
  8. +1 Brosi Please give me the reference of your condenser and/or a picture, and additionally a picture of your complete circuit. Are you sure your condenser is "non-polarized" ? The 1N4007 is fine, I have tried it in the past.
  9. Thanks for these curves Correct me if I am wrong but looking at Basti's dyno curves, I have the feeling that the SM helps whenever the carb jetting is a bit too rich... For instance, at 5000 and 5500rpm, both torque and power is clearly better with the SM. To confirm that, Basti, if possible, the next thing I would try is add 1/4 turn to your mixture screw and increase by 1 or 2/10 your SparkPlug electrode... Just to see if the theory match reality And once again, any chance to dyno between idle and 3000rpm with and without SM ??!
  10. This is interesting anyhow. However, these curves are done at full throttle, aiming for an improvment of maximum performance. In that case, maybe it is worth slightly enriching (1/4 turn) and/or increasing the sparkplug electrode gap. @Basti: What about "normal" road-city driving feeling (start from traffic-light, etc) ? Don't you feel the engine is better reacting at low RPM (<3000) ? Also, your idle rpm *should* be a bit higher
  11. Other feedbacks ? No news = good news ?
  12. I ran 2 years without changing the jetting on my stock PX... However, if for some reason you were just on the edge (lean/rich), then it might be a good idea to enrich a little bit. If you do mostly city driving, then I would just enrich with the mixture/air screw. If you do often full-throttle, give it a go to the main jet too I am happy that you are happy
  13. Yes indeed, they are functionnaly tested. If the SM has a defect, then usually the engine does not start. If your engine start better and you can feel it runs "smoother", then the SM is working ! Most engines behave really really better, few others (sorry if it's your case) start better (that's for sure), but then it is harder to feel the improvment. It also depends on: * your expectation :) * the age/state of your sparkplug (too old -> doesn't help) * the gap between your sparkplug electrode (too small -> doesn't help; *theoretically* you can increase the gap ) * the age/state of your engine (the older it is, the easier the SM improvment is noticable !) * the quality of your jetting (z.b: if you're too lean, then I believe (theoretically) that the SM will not help, *theoretically* you could enrich a little bit). @Teenager PX: if you're not satisfied, you send it back and I refund you @Polinist: you should have it today or tomorrow...
  14. Can you explain the last part in english ?!
  15. Quite a few people have now one or more SM. Please give your feedack/feeling !
  16. SparkMagnifier = SM
  17. Stop telling him how to make a powerfull engine damn'it ! He is already wayy faster than me on the track :-D
  18. I have the same problem apparently I have an HP4 (PK/PX) that I bought ~3 years ago, I *think* it was working fine, but now I mounted it again, and I have some ignition problem ! Idle is fine but whenever it reaches ~5-6000rpm, the engine is like "hitting the limiter" ! I tried 3 different stators (2 PK, 1 ET3) and also I changed the pickup. I did found one combination that worked, but i changed stuff again and when I put it back together it was no longer working... Wtf !? So, is there 2 references of ZGP ?? :-D Could my HP4 be "faulty" on its own ?!
  19. Thanks, Hey Robin, that would be a good idea to put the right date

How can I register on the ESC website to be able to race in both K1 AND K2 ?

Doh.... Why can't they allow us to drive... there would be more than enough people to make this profitable for the track owners... Weren't the Italians allowed to drive last year ??! There are some French people coming for the first time, from far away, and they are arriving on Thuersday night, that would have been convinient,... Not a single chance ?!

Can someone tell me if one can practice on Friday at the RnR ? Please say yes...
  24. Please make a difference between 51 and 54mm stroke !
