5th Challenge Scootentole - Mirecourt - 13-16 May 2010
Thanks again for coming, it was a great WE I have the feeling that the atmosphere is reaching the perfect balance between friendship, competition, fun, fair-driving and respect, all nationalities included, that *is* really a great achievement ! Besides that, we did not have rain (so to speak), we had lengthy track time, fair competition and of course nobody got hurt... Nighter on Saturday was not a "dance-hall party allnighter" thing, but at least we got to meet people, discuss, have some drinks while listening to some nice music from DJ-Thomas Official ranking for all classes will follow soon, In the mean time, have a look to the dedicated picture and video thread, here: http://scootentole.org/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=70730&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight= I'll see some of you soon at the RnR (normally), and book your agenda for our next Official Race in Magny-Cours, 17-19th of September. Additionnaly, there will be a training organized in Pusey in July, 26 and 27th (week day). All infos about the Challenge Scootentole can be found on: http://challenge.scootentole.org

5th Challenge Scootentole - Mirecourt - 13-16 May 2010
There is a micro-climate over there , it will not rain continuously according to different forecasts... Few rain showers here and there Anyway, you'll see when you get there. @Sprinschrauber: So you got it, no problem to enter the track area, it will be open. As for breakfast, it is included for all drivers. If you have visitors with you (people staying over night on the camping), then they just have to pay a 10€ fee for the whole week-end (including 1, 2 or 3 breakfasts). As for registration status, we will have about 80 drivers, so it's going to be good fun. As a reminder too, Friday is "scooter only" day i.e: the track is our the full day ! (need to register additionally on the site, ~18€ half/day, ~28€ full day). Thursday and Sunday, the track sessions will be shared with go-kart and "super-moto" (one can drive every 20 minutes or so), registration also on the spot.

As a reminder, For C2, C3 and C4 drivers, do not forget to bring a copy of an medical certificate (Gesundheitsgutachten oder ärztliche Bescheinigung oder Attest) and a copy of your driving license; this is for administrative/legal reasons and insurance. For your information, we have about 25 drivers in C2, 30 in C3 and 25 in C4 The C1 class ( no race, no timing, no need for medical attestation, the scooter has to be insured) has only few people registered, (there are also some prizes to win)... If you want to register your girlfriend or your dad, that's a good idea too ... 45? for the full Saturday (registration online), or 10? per session (you buy the ticket on the spot).

You see, that was not so hard

@RustRacer: For C2, optics are not mandatory (and not recommended !). Once again, if you don't have time to change your scooter setup, you CAN drive in C2, but you will not be "officially" classified... Depends if it matters to you or not

Daniel, if you want to change class (C2 -> C3), you have to delete your registration then subscribe again.

5th Challenge Scootentole - Mirecourt - 13-16 May 2010
Guys, for the C2 class, please be aware that the philosophy/idea behind is to bring everyday scooterist and scooter, lightly tuned, to the track. Rules are strict: Scooter must NOT be cut anywhere, must NOT have any re-enforcement structures, must have original bodyframe (original handlebar, mudguard and side panels), max 24mm carb, street legal tires and NO plastic fans flywheel (No Varitronic, Parmakit, HP4,...). If you do no entirely fit to the rule but still want to race in C2, you can. However, you will not be classified. As it is a training for ESC riders, I guess the "official" Challenge SCootentole ranking does not really matter in that case.

@einwesen: If you did it after May 15th 2009 (for last year Challenge), then it is fine... We will look at the date... If it is older, then obviously it is not ok, leider.

5th Challenge Scootentole - Mirecourt - 13-16 May 2010
Easy (easier than ESC to understand :) ): C1: Any scooter, take it easy - NO RACE, NO TIMING C2: Race with a "daily-like" scooter (any kind): Limitation: you have to have the original *complete* body frame, no cut. You must race with side panels, mudguard, handlebar, etc. Engine must be air-cooled with carburator limited to 24mm (SI26 tolerated), no flywheel with plastic fan (no variable ignition). Any kit, any exhaust. No slick tyres..... Daily like ! C3: Smallframe, no limitation. 75 - 160cc C4: Largeframe (including Lambretta), no limitation. 130 - 250cc Please ask for any other questions ! @ludy1980: Probiere ein mal in Englisch. Es is nicht kompliziert zu verstanden. http://challenge.scootentole.org/inscription_en.php @Macoi: For the "gesundheitsgutachten" it is for our insurance that covers you totally on Saturday.
