  1. Just to tell you that if you want to make a stop on Sunday 14 for

lunch you can go to the french shop "70's scooter", you perhaps met them in

Mirecourt or last year in Eyguieres...

They will do the inauguration of their new local and make a lunch (free) for

    everybody.... :-D

It is on the way for you when going back into germany (200kms nord of eyguieres):

It is very near the A6 highway and I can open the way if you want to follow me from Eyguieres...

    The flyer:

I hope to see you soon

  2. a swedish tank is a smallframe tank which was fitted as standard to swedish smallframe vespas. apparently they had a weird weight limit which resulted in smaller capacity fuel tanks and, rare as i don't know what, aluminium mudguards and aluminium side covers. never seen any of the latter myself though. of the fuel tanks i have two, which makes me the single most important collector of odd skandinavian shit outside skandinavia, i guess.

    I didn't know that :-D

  3. well some news from the Celtic SC

this year we will stay on spot friday and saturday night so do not forget a good mattress (no grass just big pebbles)

otherwise there are also a camping and several houses to rent in this town near the track :

to eat the snack of the track will be open saturday for lunch but not the evening so if you want to bring your meals no pb.

Due to fire risks in this warm region, fire BBQ are not allowed but if you have a gaz BBQ it would be ok

we will give you the registration form as soon as possible... :-D

and think also about over jetting your carbs because several of you sized last year with the dry/hot air and the long straight way of the track :wheeeha:

normally it would be possible to drive on friday but it will be expensive because the owner of the track wants we buy an "official licence" for training :-D

  4. well, there's a wide range, depending on the engine. A class 5 engine for example doesn't need much fuel, whereas a fully tuned M1L or Falc engine is seriously thirsty. The only thing I can say for sure is that my engine (M1L, 54mm stroke, 34mm carb, custom exhaust pipe) needs about 3-4cm (height in the original tank) of fuel...

    so less than 1.5L ?

  5. @ Luccio:

Ignition: At least my M1L runs best with 16°, it starts detonating on 18° with 1.1mm Squish.

Carb: Indeed, you`re pretty rich on the Main Jet, it should be possible to reduce down to 230-210 with the "Big" RamAir Filter and 70 or 80PJ (depending on the Idle Jet), Clip middle Position. I am running on a 28 Keihinfake with small RamAir Filter a 138 Mainjet, pretty rich normally, but Ignitor looks pretty good and no deposits at least on the Piston. EGT stays below 450°C, positioned 110mm from Piston Edge.

    Thanks for the info :-D

indeed I don't use any air filter :-D

  6. Here is my curv at the R&R.... :-D

    post-3592-1212481071.jpg

My ignition and carburator were not set up at all. :-D

I know that I am too rich and I would like to know what's the EGT temperature to have with "the good air/fuel ratio" ?

And what is "a good setting" for the ignition ?

My piston after only 2 races :wheeeha:

    My engine details:

    M1L ( 129° - 183° - 27° - Squish 1mm)

    mazzu 51

    TMX30 (HD:280, PJ:75, ND:35, needle:5EL68, needleJet:N9, 2nd clip)

    quattrini MX3C exhaust

    Vespatronic

    danke
