i've got 2 vespa GS/3

One vespa gs type 112 and one gs type 212.

i would like to make a restauration of them but i didn't find what is the color inside (like the picture)

it red (fondo rosso) brown or green like the italian GS150?

Or it's grey like the vespa gs color?

Hi Al,

Well, I can only tell you about my VD2TS (German GS3 from 1961), which has got about 10.000 original kilometers on the speedo and is completely in the original condition. As you can see there is no red primer involved!!

The other VD2TS from 1958 seems to have a layer of brown and then green primer... check the 3rd pic.

All the GS3 pics i saw was grey inside, always.

i think the primer was paint for the german G150.

i will paint both in grey outside and inside.

do you have find a Gel battery in the good size for the GS3?

i run without battery for the moment, do you think it's a bad idea (better performance with a battery?)

Another question about the main jet, when i clean each carburator of the two 150GS/3 i always find a main jet of 107, is it normal ? (i thunk the main jet was between 101 and 105..?)

i will paint my 2 gs/3 soon, but i would have one confirmation about the color.

does the rims and fork are the same greys of the vespa or it's a differents grey?
