got some fantastic english scooters coming so we're doing better on this score but would love more german custom scoots!
  2. hearing about quite a lot of germans coming over so glad many are coming! Update for the Friday night - as well as the drinks in the redlight district for those who fancy something different on the friday night we now have a second venue - this time less redlight district more music - Alton Ellis meets the High Notes in P60 in Amstelveen some info about the venue (in Dutch) http://www.p60.nl/index.php?pid=6&id=1068 and English on my space: http://www.myspace.com/altonellis I'm not into that so I'll be in the redlight district at the globe on the friday night Sexy time! We're still keen to get more custom scooters so if you have one - bring it along to give the brits a run for their money (there are some very special bikes coming over!!) For hotel info - there are so many to choose - more help here amsterdam tourist info
  3. nice!! Chicco racing should be fun. Andy Gillard from Scootering will also be racing!!
  4. Hey all Not sure what the best subforum is so I'll try this one: I'm co-organising the Dutch Custom Scooter show in Amsterdam in 2 weeks time and I'd love to get some more German custom scooters to the show. Holland has plenty restored bikes but the problem is that we are a little short of the full on German Custom bikes - ie anything non original like engraving, murals, choppers, full on German/ SIP racers etc. Would be fantastic to have some more of these type of scoots make it over for the show! Good news is that as well as a great weekend in Amsterdam you would also have a good chance of collecting a prize or two... More info on the party, ride out & show in the "Treffen" section of this forum. Nice John
  5. awesome. Thanks for all your kind help. Amazombie - will figure it out in the next few days with my friend. Nice john
  6. no sorry - I dont think I was clear. I know the relevant info - its more that the bike used to be a German one and was registered in Germany - to register this scooter in holland we need some sort of proof - ideally copies of the german registration or insurance documents. The problem is that we have lost these and have no idea on how to get new ones! Many thanks John
  7. hello apologies for lack of german. Feel free to respond in german - I understand it a little - just can't write it. Anyway - a friend of mine has a restored 1976 50 special for which the papers have been lost. To register it in holland we need some sort of copy of the original paperwork. Is there anyway to get a copy of the papers? How would I go about doing that? Would it require a full TUV or other complicated way? Many thanks John PS - come to the dutch custom show 9 to 11 November in Amsterdam - great party!
  8. yep - if you are interested - we are currently looking at cheap hotel solutions. Let me know if you need any help... camping zeeburg is likely to be very cold this time of year so I would only consider it if you have a heated van or caravan.... Best not to leave a reservation until a few days before as hostels/ hotels do get kinda full in amsterdam.
  9. hey all for all you PK racers - I thought you would be interested to know that one of big dealers in holland will be closing down and taking his whole stock to the Dutch custom show in amsterdam on Nov 11th. I know many of you need lots of parts like headset etc etc but he is selling everything for 1 euro a piece so come along! more info on the show here - http://www.germanscooterforum.de/index.php...mp;hl=amsterdam would be great to have people bring custom bikes and/or their racers. Nice John
  10. yeah - come along - will be great fun!

sorry - my german isnt good enough to understand fully but it sounds bad. What's the scoop?
  12. Hey No - this isn't meant to be very serious - just a bit of fun but we are doing this. Instead of a bouncy castle at the Dutch Show for the kids we thought that this would be more amusing. If you have a kid and/or a Chicco or even if you want to do it yourself (if you are 120 kilos you may have difficulty having someone lend you one at the event! ) then come along! The weekender should be great fun. Tuning is of course allowed and the some light pushing with the legs is also ok. vs. More info on the weekend: GSF topic - click here!
  13. Thanks Hans! Would be great to see lots more germans at this years event. Should be a good time. You lot also always seem to walk away with the best prizes so an easy way to get some more silverware. Also lots of you have small kids so why not join have yours come along and fight for to be the first world champion in the 1st ever Chicco race! Adults can also race but you may have to bring your own chicco as you may struggle to find someone who wants to lend you theirs. Any questions do let me know here or send me a message. Nice John
  14. fantastic armin - very happy with those 2 pictures!! My first ever knee down! Great pictures as always mira!
  15. here are the rest of Roo (andy's) pictures amsterdam vespa club gallery - Roo's pics I'm very keen to have a look at Mira's pictures but they don't seem to be on vespatech yet - has anyone seen them yet? Thx John "desperate to see if there is photographic proof a knee down" VT.
  16. glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the kind words! I will ask the guy who did the admin but I know that his mate works at Grand Prix scooters in Leicester so maybe that's a start. Will try and get back to you soon. I called the hospital and David has left the hospital and is headed back for Germany. I assume that is good news.
  17. well - come next year then!! No excuses! Ja de duitsers zijn meestal het snelst maar de nederlanders worden ook steeds beter!
  18. A big thank you to all that came - it was indeed a great weekend. Bootman - next time I will overtake you!!!
  19. hi there I dont have a formal schedule yet. I think the plan will be something like last year - ie gates open at 9ish and then first races will probably get going at 10.30 to 11ish. The time in between wil be used to do the bike saftey check. I will try and get the plan and will post it here in the next few days. For those that havent registered yet - dont worry you can register and pay on the day. More to follow! John
  20. If you want the early bird 10 euro discount (ie pay 50 instead of 60 euros) then be quick as to get the discount you will need to transfer the cash in the next few days (see registration form for BIC & IBAN details). If you aren't bothered with the discount then no worries as you can register and pay on the day. Looking forward to seeing many of you again. Currently we expect between 30 and 40 racers. If you have any questions feel free to give me a call on +31 6 21857014.
  21. Hi Harald! Does he have one? Aachen is super close so that would be great.... Nice John
  22. Hey all I'm about to restore my sx200 which I got in parts and there is a dent in the bit that the left side panel goes on (ie where you place the rubber strips) which makes me worried that it may have been in an accident and hence may be bent. Before I spend a whole lot of money restoring it I want to check if its straight. At Eurolambretta I'm sure I heard someone say that someone in Germany had made a frame jig. Does anyone know if this is true and if so, who has it and where it would be? I know they have them in the UK but with the ferries it takes too much time & $$$ to get the frame there - germany is easier for me as Holland is obviously quite close and I'm in Nurenburg a lot for work. Many thanks John Amsterdam
  23. Friendly reminder to get your registrations in for this years event ? for hard core veterans, people that want to try for the first time and everything in between ? come and enjoy the best classic scooter racing in Holland for either one or both 2 days. For more info on this fantastic weekend and the registration form please see: http://www.lambretta-nl.net/index.php?newlang=english or send me a message or ask in Dutch/ English on the AVC forum: http://juliet.messageboard.nl/4853/viewforum.php?f=9 - it's not that scary and about as much fun as you can have fully clothed. Although you can register & pay on the day to get an idea of numbers we would love it if you could preregister. Get them in quick if you want the 10 euro discount for early registrants as we need your form & payment in before August 1st to Cor van Seters Hope to see lots of you there again! John Lambretta Club of the Netherlands PS One for you to write into your diaries ? the LCN together with the AVC are organizing the 3 rd Dutch custom show between Nov 9 till 11 th ) ? this time in Amsterdam with a big ride out, 2 parties & of course a nice custom show. More info to follow but let us know if you are interested in a stall or want to reregister a scooter for the show?.
