Copenhagen Scooter Club had been toying with the idea of hosting a Cannonball Run for vintage scooters for years, when in 2003 our brothers and sisters in Lambretta Club Malmö beat us to it! Due to all the experience gained during the planning of the previous four Cannonball Runs in Sweden, Copenhagen Scooter Club is now ready to continue the legacy. We are honoured to get the opportunity to host Cannonball 2007 on Danish soil! And just as the previous four runs, Cannonball 2007 builds on the exact same ingredients as the original Cannonball Run - cool classic rides, race, beer and party! The run will take place during Ascension Holidays from 17th to 20th of May, in a secret hideout on Zealand - in perfect driving distance for contestants arriving from i.e. Rødby, Copenhagen and Helsinore. Hi! I´m running my Vespa Super Sport with a polini207 engine, righthand auspuff and a SEBAC shock. For two years I have listened to the sounds of the end dämpfer hitting the frame when riding over small bumps on the road (quite annoying;-)). Likewise I haven´t been able to take my girlfriend for a spin. Apart from the two obvious solutions: 1. perform a cut in the back of the right hand side Backe 2. Install a harder (and longer) shock, z.B. a Bitubo Cutting the Backe is clearly not an option since Super Sport Backen don´t grow on the trees. Yet will a Bitubo solve my problems or duo you have other suggestions? Any advice will be appreciated - please feel free to answer in german. Sorry for the anglo-german language mix. Cheers Kasper

The saga goes on - I just did a marvellous discovery yesterday evening when I 'popped the hood' :grins: Check this out: electronic ignition (at least I can´t se any breaker-set) Standard equipped or aftermarket spare put on some time during the 70's? What do you think? When did the first GPs with electronic ignition enter the market? Sorry for the picture quality. Thanks - I´m pretty thrilled by it myself and I have never heard about nor seen that badge before. Actually I find it extremely funny that Lambretta even produced speceal Fahrschul-Lambrettas;-) A guy at Lambretta Club UK told me that story - must have been an odd-looking scooter with another set of handlebars. My scooter doesn´t have signs of extra Lenker but has a couple of drilled holes in the floorboard from where the extra bremshebel was situated. I totally agree with you. The main reason for buying it, was the Originalzustand and the authentic patina that it has. Actually it is in such good condition that nothing needs to be done before TÜV. It will run straight through without any problems Next step is to find out whether is has a standard Li engine or whether it shares its specs with the stronger Li Special. Any ideas on how to check that? Cheers Kasper
