  1. I ordered new floorrails for my VBB and want to install them now. The curve isn't exactly right and I want to make them fit perfectly. If i just bend them with my hands on one spot the alu wil bend inward on top of the rails and that looks very crappy..Does anybody have a few tips on how to do this in a better way? Thanks!
  2. by wood screws you mean screws with a sharp point right? Machine thread scres are flat at the end? thanks!
  3. can you explain how you put the rubber in? and what do you mean by thread screws? thanks!!
  4. I'm restoring a 1960 VBB and ordered a chrome leghield trim from mauro pascoli; when i put it on it doesn't fit well..does anybody have experience with this? Does it fit much better when you put the screws in and tighten them? Right now I do not dare to do this because if the trim doesn't fit afterwards and i cannot put it on i have marks from the screws in my frame.. can somebody help me please? thanks
  5. what do you mean? You didn't buy them at an online Scootershop in germany? thanks
  6. Who has experience with buying reproductive sidecowls for a VBB/T4 at SIP, Rollerladen or Koln SC? Are they good quality and do they fit correctly? Thanks!
  7. And do you think that will in the end give a good result? or am i better off buying two new colws from SIP or Koln Scooter centre for 75 euros a piece? thanks
  8. Aha, yes i heard about that before..Is it possible to apply that on the primer (my cowls are allready primed) or does it have to be applied on bare metal?
  9. Aha..thanks.. I read in their catalogue that Koln scooter centre sells new ones..Does anyone if these fit perfectly (They are VNA/VBB but thats the same as VBB right?) and are they of good quality? I know a lot of this stuff is manufactered in Asia and in shit quality.. Thanks!
  10. The frame from my 1960 vespa GL is sandblasted but they discovered quite a lot of deeprustspots in the sidecowls. How are these to be fixed before the scooter can be painted? I know you can do it with putty but I alos hear that after an amount of time the stuff expands and you can see it underneath the paintwork.. I really want to do a beautiful restoration so I hope this problem can be fixed.. Thanks!
  11. Aha, no unfortuantely my vespa is a 150 GL..the tip about the tape is very good, thanks, but I'm drilling the holes before the paintjob is done so that is no problem fortunatley..Does anyone have any practical tips when im to use the first option; that is smashing the nails from the back and has Anyone ever done it without scratching the paintjob? Thanks!! Hjalmar
  12. So the second option; tapping them in from the front with slightly smaller holes wont work you think? And about the glue; isn't that messy? and how do you get rid of the little holes in the badge? Thanks!
