GSF Terms of use
The security of your personal data is very important to us. We have therefore revised our privacy policy and terms of use in accordance with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
After each revision, we will ask you to actively agree. Please take the time to read through.
You can find the GSF privacy policy here: https://www.germanscooterforum.de/privacy/
Here you can find the GSF imprint and the disclaimer: https://www.germanscooterforum.de/impressum.html/
Accessing the GSF is not permitted without consent.

§ 2 Registration, conclusion of contract and subject matter

  1. a prerequisite for the use of the forum is registration via the corresponding registration form. After registering via the registration form, you will receive a confirmation email to verify your data, which you can use to confirm your registration. Once the account has been activated by the provider, the free forum usage contract comes into effect (conclusion of contract).
  2. the subject matter of the contract is the free use of the functions of the forum as an online communication platform. For this purpose, you as a user will be provided with an "account" with which you can post articles and topics in the forum
  3. there is basically no legal claim to activation or participation in the forum. The unrestricted domiciliary rights of the operator apply.
  4. your forum account may only be used by yourself. As the owner of the account, you are also responsible for protecting it from misuse. Your access data must therefore be protected from access by third parties. The use of trademarked words and internet addresses, other terms that offend common decency, glorify violence, are politically charged or could offend a third party as a user name (nickname) is not permitted.
  5. the provider will endeavor to offer the service for retrieval with as few interruptions as possible. Even with all due care, downtimes cannot be ruled out in which the web servers cannot be accessed via the Internet due to technical or other problems that are beyond the control of the provider (fault of third parties, force majeure, attacks against the infrastructure by hackers, etc.). The user acknowledges that 100% availability of the website is not technically feasible.
  6. the provider reserves the right to change and expand the content and structure of the platform and the associated user interfaces.

§ 3 Content in the forum

§ 3.1 Publication

  1. it is not permitted to publish senseless, obscene, offensive, racist or similar content. It is not permitted to publish senseless, obscene, offensive, racist or similar content.
  2. it is not permitted to publish content with the aim of directing users of this forum to other platforms. This applies in particular if this would result in a commercial advantage (albeit small) for the author of the post or if their posts are well suited to expanding their own media presence.
  3. "Product tests" are only permitted if they are demonstrably presented in an impartial and fair manner. The burden of proof lies with the "tester". Competing opinions must be permitted and, if necessary, discussed objectively.
  4. it is not permitted to engage in anti-competitive activities.
  5. if services or products are offered, this can be done here. The operator does not adopt these offers as his own and has no connection to them. It must be offered by the trader for the benefit of the buyer 5% GSF discount compared to the regular price.
  6. before posting: Please use the search function first and read old threads (posts). Unfortunately many new users use the search function too little or not at all. It is very annoying when the more or less same question comes up again and again. If you browse through older threads, you will often find an answer to your question immediately and don't have to wait for a reply. If you ignore this, you will receive clear references to an existing search function and your question will remain unanswered.
  7. double postings will be deleted without notice. Please avoid posting your questions more than once in the GSF.
  8. do not use aggressive titles. Subject lines like ? Hiiillllfffffeee" or "urgent" or similar are considered aggressive and will not be read.
  9. please post in the correct forum. Before posting, get an overview of which forum your post fits best.
  10. write in detail and clearly. Describe your concern as precisely and clearly as possible. Please remember that not everyone speaks your dialect and that your contribution will not only be read in Germany. For this reason, you should make sure you use reasonably correct German. You should also avoid writing everything in "small" letters as well as ALWAYS ONLY IN CAPITAL LETTERS, as this is difficult to read and could also be interpreted as shouting. A lack of punctuation also makes a text very difficult to read (like this one) because the sentences, which can be nested inside each other, are not logically separated from each other. Uach TIppfejler and Buchtsabendrheer do not exactly contribute to good readability. You should therefore definitely check the text again for the worst errors before sending it. If you obviously don't put any effort into the question, you shouldn't expect other people to take the trouble to read and answer it.

  11. remain polite. Before you send a post, please read it carefully. Often a post written in response reads more negatively than it is actually meant to. Think about whether you want a response like this or whether the text could be misunderstood. This is particularly easy with ironic content. Be careful with supposed humor, irony and sarcasm. Never get carried away with verbal outbursts. Please avoid so-called "gutter" language and insults of all kinds. Also, excessive discussions about a different opinion on a topic should not be "fought out" in the forum, but on a private level by e-mail or personal messages.

  12. the "Quote" function. Please avoid repeating the entire previous post as a quote. Delete everything that is not directly relevant to understanding. In particular, the salutation or greeting at the end of a post is not required. If you quote other persons or institutions, please indicate the source for copyright or license reasons. This also makes it easier to verify the arguments presented in the post.

  13. Personal messages. It is forbidden to publish personal messages here in the forum, even if they have been anonymized.

  14. it is not permitted to send spam to other users via the system

  15. as a user, you undertake to check your posts and topics before publishing them to see whether they contain information that you do not wish to publish. Your contributions and topics may be recorded in search engines and thus be accessible worldwide. A claim for deletion or correction of such search engine entries against the provider is excluded.

§ 3.2 Copyright
Only content may be used in the GSF that is demonstrably either

  • are self-created.
  • are released by the copyright holder.
  • or are in the public domain (free of any rights)

It is absolutely forbidden to upload/link files that are protected by copyright or whose distribution is illegal, i.e. no images that do not belong to you, no pirated copies, no videos, no music etc.
If you notice such an infringement, please report it to the moderators immediately.

This applies:

  • Content created by yourself:
Content may be uploaded to the GSF using the upload function or linked in such a way that it appears immediately when the post is opened.
  • Content not created by yourself but content is free of rights or permission has been granted:
Content may not be uploaded to the GSF and may only be integrated into the GSF via a text link (risk of warning lies with the post creator)
  • Content not created by the author and no permission has been granted:
No use in the GSF is permitted.

This applies, for example, to images, avatars, screenshots from programs, scans from works subject to copyright.
This also applies, for example, to extracts from maps / city plans.
Third-party content that you have reworked is classified as "not created by you", as you do not necessarily hold the copyright to it despite having reworked it. In order to avoid this gray area, reworked content is treated like the original. For example, a company logo that you have recolored is still "not self-created" content in the GSF.

§ 4 Transfer of rights of use
1. the copyright for your topics and contributions, insofar as they are copyrightable, remains with you as the user. However, by posting a topic or contribution, you grant the provider the right to make the topic or contribution permanently available on its websites. In addition, the provider has the right to delete, edit, move or close your topics and posts.
2 The aforementioned rights of use shall remain in force even if the contract is terminated.

§ 5 Procedure in the event of legal violations
Should third parties or other users assert claims against the provider due to possible legal violations that a) result from the content posted by you as a user and/or b) result from the use of the provider's services by you as a user, you as a user undertake to indemnify the provider against any claims, including claims for damages, and to reimburse the provider for the costs incurred by the provider due to the possible legal violation. In particular, the provider shall be indemnified against the costs of any necessary legal defense. The provider is entitled to demand an appropriate advance payment from you as the user. As a user, you are obliged to support the provider in good faith with information and documents in the legal defense against third parties. All further rights and claims for damages of the provider remain unaffected. If you as the user are not responsible for the possible infringement, the aforementioned obligations do not apply.

§ 6 Term / termination of the contract

  1. this agreement is concluded for an indefinite period.
  2. if the user deletes his account or has it deleted (termination of the contract), his public statements, in particular posts in the forum, remain visible to all readers, but the account can no longer be accessed and is marked "Schrottpresse" in the forum.
  3. All personal data will be deleted, only the published content will be retained.

§ 6.1 Extraordinary
In the event of a breach, in particular of the terms of use, the provider may also impose the following sanctions on the user, irrespective of termination and without prior notification of a warning:

  1. deletion or modification of content posted by the user
  2. issuing a warning
  3. blocking access to the forum.
