Quattrini 200 cc smallframe

Empfohlene Beiträge

Klar so nen vorher nacher Vergleich kommt nie schlecht.

Müsste man halt vielleicht wirklich einfach mal laufen lassen, so'n Motor.

ciao

I'm still in my holiday.. so I'm a bit late and  it's also always difficult for me to translate  from german!!! But.. as far as I can understand the point is always the same. Here (on this site I mean) or in our forum. MODIFY,DRILL;CUT ,OPEN... And My question is :but why ? If you have a cylinder that revs at 12000 you Want more torque , if you have a cylinder with a strong torque you want rpms..NoW on the market we have a huge variety of good products, someone wants Quattrini , someone falk,  and we have really many possibilities to satisfy our curiosity. What was really missing on the market now was a big bore plug and play with an exhaust  sufficiently silenced that can fit whithout  difficulty under an original et3 chassis. This the 200 cc quattrini . A good product  with this characteristics. You have almost 3 kg of torque with a cylinder that can be used with any gear and any final transmission without problem , whit two person also , both for long trip and for nice and fast excurtions. That's it.  It's a cylinder  that gives you these whithout any efforts,  35 hp that you can start using at 4500. you need more? well , you  have many smaller brother that you can buy , most of them with a more aggressive character . Than if you really say: I want more cc   only becouse I want more power , no matter where... ok ,  this is the good cylinder for that. 50 hp are really close to come

Some people simply don´t get ther kicks from pluging a product, as good as it may be plug and play, but from modifying it. I guess one has to accept that, no matter if the modification is fertile or not.

espacially you, as an italian guy, has to understand, the wish for a much more graceful looking exhaust. therefor you must to drill and open the part, to look how its constructed and so someone maybe

is able to design another, not better, but better lookin' one, which doesn't look like an boring old fart.  :-D

I'm not sure I'd consider this the correct approach. If you need to cut up and analyse something in order to create something new you may be dangerously close to copying things. Which in my book is pretty shit. Peope like Quattrini and Falc usually don't end up buying Ferraris with the truckloads of money they make. That's mainly because you don't make truckloads of money doing what they do. So copying is a bit like kicking their balls. Not very nice.

I perfectly agree with what Mauroopa wrote: There are loads of different kits out there with different characteristics, plus a loads of pipes to combine them with. Chances are pretty much everything one could want is available off the shelf. But as Brosi has said for some people it's not about riding an engine but more about building it. It's different approaches, I guess.

As I've said I'll be trying my hand at a pipe for the 200cc Quattrini soon. From what I heard in the video I have a feeling that the existing pipe works very well though. Chances are I'll end up with a pipe that does things differently but not better. I'm really looking forward to seeing the first engines up and running. In the UK for instance there seems to be quite a market for exactly what Quattrini has tried to do (and possibly has done). A large capacity smallframe engine with decent power (if it really makes 30-35BHP that's more than just decent already) with a nice spread of power and the option to potter around at low rpm and then to accelerate without having to drop a gear, just by winding it on. Sounds great to me, and I'm not really a huge fan of large capacity smallframe engines.

I agree with amazombis thoughts, the Q200 engine might be a really beautiful engine on the road. I would like to know if would make sense to use a piaggio 3 - speed gearbox with the kit (because of the wider gears), or if the step between 2nd and 3rd gear would be to wide. Another question would be if a cylinder for crankcase induction is planned.

Ciao

Hannes

Hallo
